## Description

Fonseca Martial Arts is a family-focused martial arts school serving Chicago and the North Shore. Founded by Sensei John Fonseca, the organization has been building champions since 2003, offering instruction grounded in the Bushido code and focused on personal growth both on and off the mat. Its programs aim to help students develop confidence, discipline, and physical fitness in a supportive, engaging environment.

Classes are available for children, teens, and adults, with options for different ages, interests, and experience levels. Programs include Little Dragons for ages 4–6, Youth Karate for ages 7–12, Adult Karate for ages 13 and older, and Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense for all ages. Specialized offerings include KIAI Adaptive Karate and Kick Out PD Karate for Parkinson’s. The school also hosts birthday parties, camps, tournaments, and special events. Students can access online training videos and livestreams, while families can book trial classes at its dojos in Chicago’s Roscoe Village, Evanston, Glenview, and Park Ridge.
