## Description

Font Bureau is a digital type studio and leading foundry for typeface design. With over twenty-five years of experience, Font Bureau has created custom typefaces for major American publications and offers a retail library of celebrated fonts. In response to evolving technologies and client needs, Font Bureau has launched three innovative ventures. They co-founded Webtype to provide high-end online typography, including a series of Reading Edge fonts designed specifically for screen readability. Font Bureau also co-created Ready-Media, offering world-class design in media templates for print and web. Additionally, they supported the development of Fonts In Use, an independent site exploring fonts in the real world. Font Bureau's success stems from their commitment to traditional typographic knowledge and unwavering dedication to designing high-quality typefaces. Founded in 1989 by Roger Black and David Berlow, Font Bureau remains a small, privately held company with creative input from independent designers. Based in Martha's Vineyard, MA, their specialties include typeface development, font modification, variable fonts, custom licensing, and consulting.
