The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, established in 1982, strives to end hunger in our community. Serving Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden, and Hampshire counties, we supply food to independent pantries, meal sites, shelters, and individuals in need. Our goal is to ensure that individuals, families, seniors, children, and people with disabilities, including veterans, lead healthy and fulfilling lives.

We distribute nutritious food from various sources such as the state and federal government, local farms, retail and wholesale food businesses, community organizations, and individual donations. Our 26 Mobile Food Bank and 52 Brown Bag: Food for Elders sites directly reach households facing food insecurity. As part of the Feeding America network, we work collaboratively with over 200 food banks across the country.

In addition to food distribution, we support our members by strengthening the emergency food network, increasing their capacity, and addressing the underlying causes of hunger.
