## Description

Food Bornholm is a cooperative of 15 Bornholm producers working to bring locally grown, plant-based foods to more tables. Rooted in the island’s fertile soil, the group focuses on producing high-quality foods made entirely from plants, while supporting local agriculture and exploring new opportunities for farming. Its products include Bornholm-grown lentils, peas, beans, quinoa and amaranth, offered through its webshop, including items such as red flash lentils. Food Bornholm has established a production facility on Bornholm for cleaning, sorting and packing plant proteins, alongside sharing knowledge about their uses. The website features recipes that show how to cook with its ingredients, from soups and salads to breads, burgers and desserts, as well as a free e-book introducing pulses. Food Bornholm also shares news and information about events and collaborations, including its recommended Living Kitchen experience. With an emphasis on innovation, sustainability and honest food, the cooperative connects local producers with consumers interested in practical, flavorful plant-based ingredients.
