## Description

Food First MD is a physician-led metabolic medicine practice in Connecticut, founded by Dr. Christine Najjar. Combining her board certifications in internal and obesity medicine with a master’s degree in human nutrition, Dr. Najjar provides personalized, nutrition-driven care focused on addressing root causes rather than symptoms. The practice supports people seeking help with weight, diabetes and prediabetes, heart health, thyroid concerns, low energy, and other metabolic issues.

Services include a 90-minute Whole-Body Health Assessment with a health-history review, body-composition scan, lab review, and tailored food-first action plan. Follow-up visits and nutrition coaching help patients review progress, troubleshoot barriers, and adjust their approach. A four-week Accountability Program offers daily photo-log feedback and weekly check-ins. Food First MD also provides in-home metabolic assessments, including kitchen walkthroughs and grocery-list updates, alongside in-office and virtual care.

Its evidence-based plans emphasize sustainable food and lifestyle changes rather than fad diets or calorie counting. Dr. Najjar can order medications, laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies, and works as a consulting physician rather than a primary care physician. The practice aims to help patients improve metabolic health, energy, and weight-related conditions through attentive, individualized guidance.
