## Description

Food for Life Scotland is a brand that strives to make healthy and sustainable food an easy choice for everyone. With a focus on the power of public food, they aim to positively impact health, the environment, and the local economy. Food for Life Scotland partners with public sector catering teams, particularly in school meals services, to promote the inclusion of fresh, sustainable, and locally sourced food on school dinner plates across Scotland. They offer support to local authorities to achieve the Food for Life Served Here award, a nationally recognized mark of quality. This award ensures that meals are freshly prepared, free from undesirable additives, and made with ingredients from ethical and sustainable sources. By joining Food for Life Scotland, caterers can serve healthier meals, support local producers, reduce food miles, and empower catering staff to cook meals from scratch. The brand also works closely with Scottish food producers and suppliers to increase the availability of Scottish food in schools and other public sector sites. Local authorities and caterers can seek assistance from the Food for Life Scotland team to achieve the Food for Life Served Here award and make a positive impact on their communities.
