## Description

Florian Pinel, a passionate chef and computer science researcher based in New York City, is the creative force behind Food Perestroika, a culinary platform celebrating Eastern Bloc cuisine. Originally from France, Florian has blended his culinary education from the Institute of Culinary Education with authentic recipes inspired by his travels to Eastern Europe. Food Perestroika invites food enthusiasts to explore a diverse array of recipes covering appetizers, meats, seafood, and desserts, all rooted in the rich tapestry of Eastern European culinary traditions.

The website provides an extensive collection of dishes from various regions, including Balkan, Caucasian, and Central European fare, emphasizing the unique flavors and ingredients of each culture. In addition to recipe sharing, Florian aims to reconstruct the culinary heritage of post-Soviet states, moving beyond outdated interpretations to offer a fresh perspective on classic dishes. Whether you're an adventurous cook or a curious foodie, Food Perestroika serves as a gateway to the vibrant and often overlooked world of Eastern Bloc cuisines.
