## Description

Food Renegade is a real-food and nutrition education brand founded by health educator and best-selling author Kristen Michaelis, also known as the Food Renegade. Since 2008, Michaelis has advocated for sustainable, organic, local, and traditionally prepared foods, drawing on ancestral nutrition approaches such as Paleo, Primal, and the Weston A. Price Foundation tradition. The brand encourages informed food choices, including interest in grass-fed and wild meats, raw and fermented dairy, and local organic vegetables.

Food Renegade offers practical resources for people seeking to understand food and nutrition. Its website features recipes, beginner tips, budget guidance, shopping advice, and articles about food labels, supplements, food safety, and agriculture. Readers can explore guides to real milk, meat, eggs, and fermented foods, as well as commentary on food systems and nutrition debates. The brand also provides books and classes, including Michaelis’s book Beautiful Babies: Nutrition for Fertility, Breastfeeding, & A Baby’s First Foods. Through educational content and recipes, Food Renegade helps readers explore traditional food practices and make more informed choices.
