## Description

Forerunners Florida Track Club is a St. Petersburg-based running club founded in 1988 and directed and coached by Joe Burgasser. With more than 100 members from across the United States, the club welcomes runners of all ability levels, from beginners to elite athletes, including Olympic Trials qualifiers. Its focus is on bringing runners together for regular group training and supporting their development and participation in races.

The club holds a track workout in St. Petersburg every Tuesday, with an additional Wednesday workout in South Tampa for members outside the St. Petersburg area. On Sundays, members gather for a long run starting at Demens Landing Park in downtown St. Petersburg. The club’s website also provides a training and race schedule, race results, photos, and running tools. Those interested in joining or learning more can contact Coach Joe Burgasser by email. Forerunners offers an organized community for runners seeking coached group workouts, long runs, and connection with athletes of varied experience.
