## Description

The Forestry Centre of Excellence (FCoE) is an Australian forestry research and collaboration hub based in Mount Gambier, South Australia. Established by the South Australian Government in partnership with the University of South Australia, the Green Triangle Forest Industries Hub and the South Australian Forest Products Association, it aims to strengthen the competitiveness, productivity and sustainability of the forest industries. Its work brings together research, innovation, education and industry collaboration, with priorities including product and market development, improved resource quality, processing efficiency, safety and resilient forestry systems.

The centre shares research and information through projects, news, newsletters, interviews, showcases and field days. Featured research includes clean-strip plantation systems, real-time geospatial positioning, AI hazard detection and the operational transition of PINT software. Its Mount Gambier facility includes research and laboratory space, meeting areas and administrative workplaces designed to support collaboration. The building also showcases locally sourced Green Triangle softwood and hardwood fibre, including engineered cross-laminated and glue-laminated timber.
