## Description

Forest Voices of India is a charitable initiative that supports organizations working to improve the lives of children, protect animals and preserve village forests. Its work also promotes environmental education, helping students learn about nature, trees, birds and wildlife. Through fundraising and community support, the initiative directs donations to programs with practical benefits for people and the natural world.

One example is its support for the C.P.R. Environmental Education Centre in Chennai, India. Contributions raised at events in Kanab, Utah, helped fund saplings for a school serving students who are deaf or have speech impairments. In 2024, teachers and trainees planted 15 saplings, including Indian gooseberry, hibiscus, jasmine and great basil. The activity introduced students to the sensory qualities of plants and the environmental value of trees, which improve air quality and provide habitat for birds and butterflies.

Forest Voices of India also shares educational articles and stories about India’s heritage, culture and spirituality.
