Fork Food Lab is a non-profit food business incubator and shared commercial manufacturing facility, aimed at supporting the growth of the local food economy in Maine. Since its establishment in 2016, Fork Food Lab has played a crucial role in nurturing food entrepreneurs by providing them with essential resources, workspaces, equipment, and access to locally sourced ingredients. Our diverse membership includes consumer packaged goods, specialty food producers, mobile food units, bakeries, catering companies, and prepared meal businesses.

We believe in fostering a just and sustainable food economy, where entrepreneurs can create high-quality and sustainable products using locally sourced ingredients. Over the years, Fork Food Lab has hosted numerous food startups, with a total of 120 businesses passing through our doors as of fall 2021. The impact of our incubator is significant, as between 2018 and 2021 alone, we have supported 152 jobs and generated $4.

7 million in sales. When combined with the businesses that have graduated to their own establishments, Fork Food Lab's total economic impact amounts to 411 jobs and $15. 3 million in earnings.
