## Description

Formula Hybrid is an innovative and dynamic competition founded by the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College in 2006. Taking place annually at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway, this event draws undergraduate and graduate students from various universities to participate in the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Collegiate Design Series. Participants engage in a comprehensive design and engineering challenge, where they collaboratively create formula-style hybrid or electric-only racecars, emphasizing drivetrain innovation and fuel efficiency.

The competition not only provides students with hands-on experience in applying theoretical concepts but also fosters teamwork and collaboration across various disciplines. It serves as a bridge between academia and industry, allowing students to interact with professionals from emerging technology sectors. Spectators are welcome, and enthusiastic volunteers are always needed to support the event. With its rich history and commitment to educational excellence, Formula Hybrid continues to inspire the next generation of engineers and innovators in sustainable automotive design.
