## Description

Norges Forsvarsforening is a Norwegian membership organisation focused on security policy, national defence and societal security. Through its nationwide network of local associations, it brings together members to discuss issues affecting Norway’s preparedness and security, and to encourage informed public debate. The organisation publishes news, articles, interviews and commentary on topics including defence planning, NATO, Russia, Ukraine, civil preparedness and military capability. Its website also provides statements and contributions from the association, member news and a magazine archive.

Norges Forsvarsforening supports activities across its local associations, offers financial support for events and arranges meetings for association leaders. It also provides information about membership, including gift memberships, and keeps members connected through newsletters and invitations. Other resources include its statutes, annual reports, work programme, brochures, information on scholarships and details of awards and medals. With a presence across regions throughout Norway, the association serves as a forum for engagement with defence and security matters and promotes discussion of the choices shaping the country’s safety and resilience.
