## Description

For The Wild is a progressive nonprofit and media organization founded in 2014, dedicated to fostering a deep connection with the more-than-human world. Rooted in principles of land-based protection and intersectional storytelling, the organization strives to challenge dominant cultural narratives centered on human supremacy and consumerism. The heart of For The Wild lies in its acclaimed podcast, which serves as a vital platform for critical discourse on wilderness conservation, Indigenous sovereignty, and social justice. With a commitment to bridging academic research with grassroots activism, For The Wild collaborates with a diverse array of voices, including scientists, artists, and land defenders. The organization is reimagining media through its Slow Media Ethos, focusing on print, film, and community-centered events that encourage meaningful connections in an increasingly disconnected world. Their work not only seeks to nurture community resilience but also to provide insightful commentary and practical solutions to the pressing challenges of the Anthropocene. Through storytelling and education, For The Wild envisions a future rooted in justice, reciprocity, and ecological renewal.
