## Description

Fortius is a women’s curling team based in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. Its name comes from the Latin word for “stronger,” reflecting the team’s commitment to continuing to move forward and improve. The team’s four-leaf-clover logo combines an image of a curling stone in motion with the four original members. Its green, blue and white colors represent Hokkaido’s trees, sea and snow, while the clover symbolizes good fortune.

Founded in April 2011, Fortius has competed at national and international level. Its achievements include Japanese Curling Championship titles in 2015, 2021 and 2025, victory at the 2021 Pacific-Asia Curling Championships, and a fifth-place finish at the 2014 Sochi Olympics. The team placed eighth at the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics.

Fortius shares team news, schedules and competition results through its official website, and offers a fan club and team merchandise, including a 2027 desktop calendar. The team is based at the Hokkaido Bank Curling Stadium in Sapporo and is managed by PASSPORT Co., Ltd.
