## Description

Panther City Feral Cat Coalition is a Fort Worth organization dedicated to improving the lives of feral and community cats. Formed by concerned residents after public meetings in 2011 about the city’s community cat population, the Coalition works to coordinate local resources, connect people and agencies, and promote a humane approach to managing cat colonies. Its central approach is Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR), which involves humanely trapping cats, arranging sterilization and vaccination, and returning them to their familiar outdoor locations. The organization provides information about TNVR, resources for community cat caregivers, and guidance on low-cost spay and neuter options. It also invites people to get involved through volunteering and donations, helping support community efforts for cats. The Coalition’s identity reflects its local roots: its orange tabby mascot, Norton, was inspired by a real Fort Worth community cat, while the panther draws on the city’s long-standing symbol. Panther City Feral Cat Coalition brings together residents and resources to support more humane care for community cats.
