Forus Tree is a workers Co-operative and a not-for-profit social enterprise with over 20 years of tree planting experience. Their mission is to mitigate the effects of climate change and restore biodiversity in the Calder Valley and beyond. They achieve this by planting, managing, and protecting woodland, wildflower, and wildlife habitats.

With close working relationships with local ecologists, arboriculturists, and local authorities, Forus Tree has a vast network of knowledge and expertise. Their services include Himalayan Balsam Removal, Tree Planting, Leaky Dams, River Cleaning, Hedging, Fencing, and Erosion Control Interventions. By actively involving members of the community and providing training, Forus Tree aims to create a sustainable future and nurture healthy woodland management.

They plant at least 100,000 trees per year in coordination with local landowners, the council, and other initiatives to combat climate change and reduce floods. Through their weekly volunteer meetings, social media platforms, and documentation of their activities, Forus Tree also educates and empowers people to become proactive in maintaining their environment.
