## Description

F/OSS Comics is an educational comic series focused on free and open source software, using stories from computing and software history to make the subject accessible and encourage readers to get involved. Created by Joone Hur, the series explores the people, ideas, and developments behind influential technologies through concise, illustrated narratives.

Episodes cover the history of Unix and its spread from Bell Labs to universities, the creation of the vi editor at UC Berkeley, and the early development and distribution of BSD Unix. The series also profiles figures such as Dennis Ritchie, creator of the C programming language and co-developer of Unix, and examines the enduring Unix philosophy: building small programs that do one thing well and work together through text streams. By connecting historical events with the software and systems still used today, F/OSS Comics offers readers an engaging introduction to open source culture and computing. Its website provides an episode archive, topic tags, and content in English and Korean, helping readers explore the series and follow its stories over time.
