## Description

Fotoconnexió is a Barcelona-based nonprofit cultural association founded on 6 October 2011 by photographers, archivists, historians, collectors and researchers from both public and private sectors, including professionals and amateurs. Its members share an interest in the study of photography and audiovisual culture. The association promotes research, conservation and the dissemination of photography and audiovisual materials in all their forms.

Fotoconnexió develops projects and public activities that connect audiences with photographic heritage. Its work includes El Daguerre de Sants, focused on the memory of a Barcelona neighbourhood, and a project involving the photographic collection of Francesc Boix. The association also maintains the Clifford Directory, a freely accessible online resource documenting people who worked as photographers in the territories of the Spanish state between 1839 and 1900.

Its programme includes talks, photography discussions, guided visits, workshops and the Fotos en Conserva activities, alongside exhibitions and other events. Fotoconnexió also shares information through its website and social media, and offers membership with associated discounts, promotions and special conditions.
