## Description

**Brand Description: Fotografía y Biodiversidad**

Fotografía y Biodiversidad is a non-profit organization established in 2010, dedicated to promoting the protection and understanding of biodiversity through citizen science. Based in the Iberian Peninsula, the organization manages the innovative platform Biodiversidad Virtual, which is the first of its kind for collecting species distribution data via geolocated digital photography. This initiative is now integrated with www.observation.org, following a partnership with the International Observation Foundation.

Committed to fostering public engagement with biodiversity, Fotografía y Biodiversidad relies on the support of its members, who contribute an annual fee of €20. Their fundraising efforts are essential as they do not receive public funding. The organization also promotes awareness through publications and merchandise, such as books and apparel, to further their mission. By engaging communities in scientific research, Fotografía y Biodiversidad enhances knowledge and appreciation of the Iberian ecosystem and encourages responsible stewardship of natural resources.
