FOTO WIEN is Austria's largest biennial photography festival, established in 2002 and a proud participant in the European Month of Photography (EMOP). The festival showcases a vibrant array of photographic artistry, hosting exhibitions across various venues in Vienna. In 2023, it transitioned to being organized by FOTO ARSENAL WIEN, a dedicated exhibition space for photography and lens-based media.

The next festival will take place from October 3 to October 31, 2025, featuring an open call for submissions to be announced in spring 2025. This call invites participation from museums, galleries, cultural institutions, and educational bodies, ensuring a diverse range of photographic expressions is represented. FOTO WIEN aims to foster a deeper appreciation of photography through an enriching program of exhibitions, special events, and public engagements.
