Foundation's history traces back to the early 1980s when a group of probation workers recognized the need for support for ex-offenders. Over time, they expanded their services and merged with mental health charity Community Links to form the Inspire North group.

Today, Foundation operates in multiple locations across the North of England, supporting over 3,000 customers, including those with drug and alcohol problems, domestic violence survivors, the homeless, and individuals at risk of homelessness.
