The initial attempts to establish an AME church in Henderson, Nevada had been met with challenges, but in 2002, the timing was right. Reverend Dr. A. Lee Henderson, appointed by Dr. Howard S. Gloyd, became the founding pastor, and the church was officially established as Fountain Of Hope African Methodist Episcopal Church. The church's mission is to minister to people's spiritual, intellectual, physical, and emotional needs through word and deed.
