## Description

The Fondazione Pellegrini Canevascini is dedicated to preserving and promoting the social history of Italian-speaking Switzerland. Established in 1981, the foundation focuses on collecting and making accessible documentary sources related to the labor movement and broader social history in the region. With a commitment to academic excellence, the foundation has published approximately forty titles since 1974, including its acclaimed series "Quaderni di storia del movimento operaio," which features twenty significant works.

In addition to its archival and publishing efforts, the Fondazione actively engages in research projects and contributes to various academic and cultural discussions. Visitors can find a wealth of resources including audiovisual materials, photographs, manifestos, and ongoing project updates. The foundation also keeps the community informed through its newsletter and social media platforms. With the support of the Republic and Canton of Ticino and federal assistance for Italian language and culture, the Fondazione Pellegrini Canevascini stands as a vital institution for understanding and documenting the unique social narratives of Italian Switzerland.
