## Description

The Polynesian Judo Federation (FPJ) is the governing organisation supporting and developing judo in French Polynesia. It serves athletes, clubs, coaches, officials and other members of the local judo community, sharing news, competition information, results, regulations and federation resources through its website. The FPJ organises and publicises sporting activities for participants at every stage, from baby judo and children’s categories through juniors, seniors and veterans. Its programme includes local championships, the Coupe de Tahiti, kata activities and performance opportunities, alongside selection processes for national and international events. The federation also supports high-performance pathways, including a performance centre, school sports sections and preparations for major competitions. For the development of the sport, it provides information on teaching, referee education, professional sports educator qualifications and continuing training for judo participants. Members can find guidance on grades, coloured belts, black-belt progression, ethics, judo culture, social cohesion and adapted sport. The FPJ also publishes calendars, rankings, official documents and updates on Polynesian judokas and clubs.
