# FPME - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `fpme.org` ## Description FPME, the Portuguese Federation of Competition Climbing, is the national organisation dedicated to developing and coordinating competitive climbing in Portugal. It organises national championships and cup events across disciplines including bouldering and lead climbing, with competitions for youth and adult athletes and categories for men and women. Its activities also include adapted climbing, and the federation supports Portuguese national teams competing at European and international events. Beyond competition, FPME provides education and training for the people who make the sport possible. Its programmes include introductory training for competition belayers and a Grade I competition climbing coach course, delivered within Portugal’s national coach-training framework.
