## Description

The Françoise Giroud Endowment Fund is a French organization dedicated to promoting, preserving, and defending the literary and journalistic work of Françoise Giroud. Established in January 2011, it maintains a website that brings together articles published by Giroud in association with the Institute for Contemporary Publishing Archives (IMEC). The site also offers biographical information, book-related content, videos, and access to archival material, including a selection of Giroud’s writing on women’s status from 1944 to 2000.

The fund supports journalism through the Françoise Giroud Prize, which recognizes portrait journalism in print and audiovisual formats, and through events and discussions about the profession. Its published updates include award announcements, finalist and laureate information, and journalism conferences. The organization has also highlighted the digitization of Giroud’s press articles and shared resources connected with her work and legacy. Through its archive, awards, and public programming, the fund helps make Giroud’s contribution to French journalism accessible while encouraging attention to journalistic writing and portraiture.
