## Description

The Federated Research Data Repository (FRDR) is a comprehensive bilingual platform dedicated to the publication and preservation of Canadian research data. Designed specifically for large datasets, FRDR serves as a curated, general-purpose repository that aims to enhance the visibility and accessibility of research outputs. Researchers can sign up for an account using various IDs, facilitating a straightforward process for depositing data.

The platform allows users to describe their datasets, select appropriate licenses, and upload data files while offering features that include internal curation to ensure FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) compliance. Once a dataset is submitted, it is reviewed, published, and assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for citation purposes. The repository not only supports the discoverability of data through its indexing system but also promotes collaboration by allowing invitations to co-researchers and linking to related research outputs. FRDR is a valuable resource for researchers looking to share their data and contribute to the growing body of knowledge in Canada.
