Freedom Community Clinic is a brand that is dedicated to bringing care and healing directly to under-resourced communities. Founded in 2019 by Dr. Bernadette (Bernie) Lim, the clinic aims to nourish and uplift the bodies, minds, and spirits of these communities.

Initially starting with monthly street healing clinics, Freedom Community Clinic has now established two Community Healing Sanctuaries in downtown Oakland and Fruitvale East Oakland. The clinic provides a range of free and sliding-scale holistic healing services, including consultations, community-led healing groups, healing apprenticeship programs, and more. All services and programs are available in English and Spanish, ensuring accessibility for all.

By challenging the medical-industrial complex and wellness industrial complex, Freedom Community Clinic prioritizes the health and healing of Black, Brown, Indigenous, immigrant, and People of Color communities. With a focus on whole-person care and the integration of traditional healing practices and Western medicine, the clinic addresses health issues stemming from structural and systemic poverty, racism, and inequality. Centrally rooted in Oakland and led by Womxn and Gender Non-Confirming People of Color, Freedom Community Clinic strives to create a future where every individual is seen, cared for, affirmed, and loved
