## Description

Freedom Old Home Week is a volunteer-led community organization celebrating the town of Freedom, New Hampshire, through a summer program of social, recreational, and informative events. One of only five New Hampshire towns to observe an Old Home Week, Freedom continues a tradition inspired by Governor Frank W. Rollins in 1899 and recognized by state proclamation in 1913. The annual gathering welcomes residents, visitors, friends, and families to take part in activities that bring the community together.

The event program includes a parade, 5K, lawn party, Ducky Day, softball, Mah Jongg, and other activities, with schedules and event information shared on the organization’s website. Freedom Old Home Week aims to make its events fun and accessible for everyone, creating opportunities to socialize, eat, laugh, and celebrate the town. Volunteers organize and support the festivities, and people interested in joining the team are invited to get in touch. Donations help fund the events and can be made online or mailed to the organization in Freedom.
