## Description

Freedom to Marry is a brand that played a pivotal role in achieving marriage equality in the United States and sparking a global movement. Their Roadmap to Victory strategy focused on winning a critical mass of states, building public support, and ending federal marriage discrimination in order to set the stage for a national victory at the Supreme Court. Freedom to Marry collaborated with various partner organizations and allies, utilizing a combination of litigation, legislative work, organizing, public education, electoral strategies, fundraising, and changing hearts and minds. The brand brought together talented and passionate individuals who dedicated their efforts to fighting for the freedom to marry nationwide. Founder Evan Wolfson is widely recognized as the architect of the movement that led to the historic nationwide victory in 2015. With the Supreme Court ruling, Freedom to Marry concluded its operations, but the legacy of their work continues to inspire and impact the ongoing fight for equality globally.
