## Description

FreeFringeFest is an innovative and inclusive brand that aims to revolutionize the Edinburgh Fringe Festival experience. Founded in 2004 by comedy promoters Alex Petty and Kevin McCarron, the Free Festival was established in response to the challenges faced by performers and audiences in the traditional festival setup. Their mission is to provide a refreshing alternative by offering professionally set-up and managed Fringe venues where audiences can enjoy shows without any charges, and performers can showcase their talents without incurring hefty losses. With over 20 venues and more than 40 performance spaces, FreeFringeFest has rapidly expanded over the years. Their free format has garnered popularity and even produced award-winning shows. However, the brand remains committed to its roots and continues to support newcomers and new ideas. FreeFringeFest also collaborates with other venues and producers, fostering a community atmosphere and providing a support network for performers. By prioritizing creative freedom, affordability, and accessibility, FreeFringeFest aims to make the Edinburgh Fringe Festival a truly inclusive and enjoyable experience for performers and audiences alike.
