## Description

FreeSurfer is an open-source software suite for processing, analyzing, and visualizing human brain magnetic resonance (MR) images. Developed by the Laboratory for Computational Neuroimaging at the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, it supports structural, functional, and diffusion neuroimaging data from both cross-sectional and longitudinal studies.

The toolkit provides a comprehensive MR image processing stream, including skull stripping, bias field correction, image registration, and anatomical segmentation. It also supports cortical surface reconstruction, registration, and parcellation.
