## Description

Fren Finance is a personal finance app designed to help people in Nigeria understand and improve their financial health. It brings financial information together in one place, allowing users to securely connect bank accounts, credit cards, and investment accounts without Fren storing their login credentials. Users can track transactions with automatic spending categorization, review their spending and saving habits, and monitor progress through a financial health score based on real data.

The app also offers personalized insights and recommendations shaped by a user’s financial profile and goals. Its goal-setting tools help people plan, save, and track progress, with smart automation to support their efforts. Fren presents itself as an alternative to manual spreadsheets and traditional budgeting tools, emphasizing a broader view of financial well-being rather than budgeting alone. The company says its recommendations are intended to help users meet their goals, not to sell unrelated financial products. Fren is currently available only in Nigeria, with plans to expand to other African countries.
