## Description

The Freud Museum London is a registered charity and historic house museum located at 20 Maresfield Gardens in Hampstead, the final home of Sigmund Freud and his daughter Anna Freud. It introduces visitors to the history of psychoanalysis through Freud’s preserved study, iconic psychoanalytic couch, library and wider collections. The museum also explores Anna Freud’s life and her pioneering work in child psychoanalysis.

Visitors can attend changing exhibitions, talks, courses, conferences and learning sessions, offered in person and online. A virtual tour provides an online way to explore Freud’s home, while on-demand recordings and the “Freud in Focus” podcast extend the museum’s programme. The museum maintains collections and search resources covering objects, archives and its library, and invites the public to support conservation, including the preservation of Freud’s couch and library.

Its online shop offers books, fine art prints, clothing and bespoke gifts inspired by the collection; purchases support the museum. Membership includes free entry for the member and a guest, along with discounts on events and shop purchases.
