About

Description

The Friends of Italy Society of Hawai'i is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering friendship and aloha between Italy and Hawaii. Established in 1990, in partnership with the Italian General Consul in San Francisco, Marcello Griccioli, the Italian Honorary Consul in Honolulu, Louis Finamore, and the Mayor of Honolulu, Frank Fasi, the society strives to promote a better understanding and appreciation of Italy. As the Italian association for the state of Hawaii, the Friends of Italy Society offers a range of services and activities.

These include Italian language courses for both children and adults, food and wine events, film screenings, seminar series, art programs, and social gatherings. The society's social club actively supports the local community through fundraising food drives and beach clean-ups. Led by a dedicated Board of Directors, the Friends of Italy Society of Hawai'i is committed to enhancing the cultural and social life of Hawaii's community with Italian activities.

Whether you have Italian heritage or simply love Italy, this vibrant organization invites you to join their community and celebrate the rich Italian culture in Hawaii
