## Description

Friluftslivets år 2025, also known as the Year of Outdoor Recreation, is an initiative aimed at encouraging individuals and communities to embrace and enjoy their local natural environments. Spearheaded by Norsk Friluftsliv, which integrates 19 major outdoor recreation organizations and nearly 5,000 affiliated clubs, this celebration promotes inclusive, environmentally friendly outdoor activities accessible to all—regardless of physical ability or experience.

In 2025, the initiative seeks to lower barriers to participation by showcasing a diverse array of experiences such as hiking, biking, fishing, orienteering, and foraging. Events will be organized nationwide, making it easier for people to connect with others and explore nature together. Additionally, educational resources will be provided to enhance outdoor skills and understanding.

With support from various governmental bodies, local groups, and volunteers, the Year of Outdoor Recreation aims to foster a lasting appreciation for outdoor activities, cultivate community spirit, and promote well-being through time spent in nature. Join us in discovering the joy of outdoor life and the beauty of your surroundings!
