## Description

FRINGE is a framework for building custom comparative genomics web applications, developed by the Vandepoele lab. It equips developers and researchers with tools to visualize, analyze, and share genomic data across species and sequencing initiatives. Users can compare genomes with advanced tools and algorithms, bring in their own genomic data, or access unified datasets gathered from multiple sequencing initiatives. FRINGE also supports straightforward deployment of custom genomics applications with fully managed databases.

The site showcases example FRINGE instances, including a primate genome build featuring 23 primate and eight outgroup genomes, a Solanum lycopersicum pan-genome build with 46 accessions, and an Oryza sativa pan-genome build with 33 accessions. Alongside the framework, FRINGE provides documentation, tutorials, and FAQs to help users get started and make effective use of its capabilities.
