## Description

Frisbeegolf Ruka is a disc golf club serving Ruka and Kuusamo, Finland. Founded as Frisbeegolf Ruka ry in 2019 by bringing together two local groups, the club aims to make the sport accessible to people of all ages and strengthen local opportunities to play. It maintains the Hirsikangas course in Kuusamo and both courses in Ruka, including a 21-hole pro-level course and an amateur course.

The club offers regular competitions, including weekly events at Hirsikangas and Ruka, as well as annual tournaments and school competitions. Players can also join year-round throwing practice focused on improving technique, with outdoor sessions in summer and indoor sessions in winter. Beginners and visitors are welcome to explore the training activities and club community.

Frisbeegolf Ruka also produces disc golf videos on YouTube, featuring course introductions, technique advice and competition coverage. For companies, community groups and sports clubs, it arranges introductory disc golf events tailored to the organizer’s wishes. Membership and event inquiries are available through the club.
