## Description

FrogWatch SA is a pioneering citizen science initiative dedicated to monitoring frog populations across South Australia. Launched in collaboration with state, local governments, and non-government organizations, FrogWatch fills the void left by earlier survey programs, employing cutting-edge technology to facilitate year-round data collection. This program encourages community engagement by inviting individuals, schools, and local groups to participate in gathering crucial information on frog distribution and abundance.

Originating as a response to the need for more comprehensive frog monitoring, FrogWatch SA builds on the legacy of the 1994 EPA Frog Census, which enabled thousands of community members to contribute to environmental science. By harnessing community involvement and expertise from renowned frog specialists, FrogWatch aims to provide vital insights into the health of amphibian populations, track changes over time, and uncover new frog species, particularly in the remote areas of South Australia. Join FrogWatch SA today, and be a part of this vital conservation effort to protect our native frogs.
