# From Old Books - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `fromoldbooks.org` ## Description FromOldBooks.org is a brand that offers a vast collection of old and antiquarian books, preserving their beautiful pictures for everyone to enjoy. As a collector of old dictionaries, the founder has painstakingly typed and scanned dictionary entries over the years. The images on the website are scanned at high resolutions, with the option for requesting even higher resolution scans. For non-commercial or educational use, the images are generally free, but donations are appreciated. Commercial use is also available at a reasonable cost. Additionally, some images can be obtained through the stock image site Alamy. The brand also offers scanning services upon request, with a scanning fee and discounts available for unique requests. The search functionality is powered by an XML database called BaseX. This is a hobby and private interest website, sustained by Google ads and occasional stock image sales. Donations and contributions to improve the project are welcome. Contact the brand's founder, a Canadian citizen, via the provided email for inquiries and requests. ## Industries - 🍿 Arts and Entertainment - 🍿 Books and Literature _(under Arts and Entertainment)_ - 🍿 Visual Arts and Design _(under Arts and Entertainment)_ - 🎸 Hobbies and Leisure - 🎸 Antiques and Collectibles _(under Hobbies and Leisure)_ ## Links - [twitter](https://twitter.com/fromoldbooks) - [facebook](https://facebook.com/fromoldbooks) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idIAUUbAHO/w/130/h/130/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1780664722608) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idIAUUbAHO/w/200/h/200/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1780664722696) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Azure Radiance | #1877f2 | accent | | Black | #000000 | dark | | Pink Salmon | #ff8caf | light | ## Fonts - mainfont — asset _(custom)_ - mainfont — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
