## Description

Front Range Aikikai is a traditional Japanese martial arts school in Denver’s historic Baker neighborhood, located on South Broadway. The dojo offers instruction in Aikido, Iaido, and weapons practice, welcoming students of all backgrounds and experience levels, from beginners to longtime martial artists. Its training follows the lineage of T.S. Okuyama Shihan and maintains affiliations with Aikikai Hombu Dojo and Kurita Juku Aiki in Mexico City.

Classes combine body arts with traditional weapons, including the bokken (wooden sword), jyo (staff), and tanto (knife). Iaido focuses on the art of drawing the sword. The school’s approach aims to safely challenge students as they develop self-mastery, bodily and mental awareness, and martial arts understanding. Instructors bring more than 45 years of combined experience in Aikido and Iaido.

Regular classes are held on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. New students can try a class for free, or choose an introductory offer of two months of training with a gi uniform for $100. Front Range Aikikai emphasizes a safe, professional, and inclusive learning environment.
