## Description

FSD (Fondation suisse de déminage), a non-governmental humanitarian organization, was founded in 1997 with its headquarters in Geneva. While their main focus is mine action, they are also actively engaged in various other humanitarian sectors. With a dedicated team of around 500 highly qualified and committed staff members, FSD operates in seven countries across four continents. FSD specializes in destroying mines and explosive remnants of war, decontaminating polluted sites, and providing support to peace and development processes. Their work extends to countries such as Afghanistan, Central African Republic, Colombia, Iraq, The Philippines, Tajikistan, and Ukraine. As a humanitarian organization, FSD prioritizes values of independence, neutrality, and impartiality. They ensure their operations are funded through public and private sources, planning their budget meticulously for optimal utilization. Annual reports provide comprehensive insights into their activities and financial performance. FSD's goal is to make a positive impact on communities affected by conflict and pollution by actively engaging in mine action and other humanitarian activities, thereby promoting peace and development.
