## Description

Fachschule Ursberg for Heilerziehungspflege and Heilerziehungspflegehilfe is a vocational school within the Dominikus-Ringeisen-Werk, a major social care organisation in southern Germany. Since 1970, the school has trained qualified professionals for work supporting people with disabilities, combining classroom learning with practical experience through the organisation’s network.

Its programmes include a three-year, state-recognised qualification in Heilerziehungspflege, preparing students to accompany and support people with disabilities in different areas of life. A one-year, state-recognised Heilerziehungspflegehilfe course trains assistants in holistic support, while the one-year Heilerziehungspflegerisches Einführungsjahr provides preparation for further training. From September 2026, the school will take part in a trial modernising Heilerziehungspflege training, including a practice-integrated pathway.

The school also provides information about entry routes, applications and financing. Eligible learners may be able to undertake training with full-time pay through Germany’s Qualifizierungsgeld scheme. Based in Ursberg, the school shares news, events and information for prospective students and the wider community.
