## Description

Forssan Seudun Ilmailuyhdistys (FSIY) is a registered aviation association based at Forssa airfield (EFFO) in the Lounais-Häme region of Finland. Founded in 1960, the club has around 30 members and focuses on powered flying, ultralight aviation and model aircraft activities. Its aim is to make suitable ultralight and light aircraft available to members for flying at reasonable cost.

FSIY’s current fleet consists of an Ikarus C42 B and a Cessna 172N. The airfield facilities include a hangar for several aircraft, an aviation-fuel refuelling point and a room for flight preparation. The airfield’s radio frequency is 123.150 MHz. Model aircraft flying takes place near the midpoint of the field, at the end of a disused taxiway. For safety, model pilots are required to use a scanner and high-visibility vest, while aircraft pilots must fly the circuit and make appropriate radio calls. FSIY welcomes visitors interested in learning about its aircraft and activities.
