About

Description

Florida Transit Information System (FTIS) is a user-friendly software system designed specifically for transit planning applications. It offers a suite of web-based systems for transit planning in Florida, including Urban Integrated National Transit Database (Urban iNTD), Rural Integrated National Transit Database (Rural iNTD), Florida Transit Data Exchange (FTDE), and Automated Transit Stop Inventory Model (ATSIM). Urban iNTD allows users to retrieve and analyze multiple years of urban National Transit Database (NTD) data.

Rural iNTD serves the same purpose for rural NTD data. FTDE enables the sharing of planning-related spatial data of Florida fixed-route transit agencies, including General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) and geographic information system (GIS) data. ATSIM is a web-based mobile system for the collection, analysis, and maintenance of transit stop inventories.

Although originally developed for Florida, the systems are equally applicable outside the state. The FTIS website provides web-based tutorials for users to explore the functions and benefits of the systems. For any inquiries about FTIS, contact Chris A.
