Full STEAM Forward is a 501(c)3 educational program that aims to bridge the socio-economic inequities in education that have left women of color significantly underrepresented in STEM fields. While STEM-based jobs are growing at a rate three times higher than non-STEM jobs, underserved high school students are struggling to meet the ACT STEM Readiness benchmarks, with only 2% achieving this compared to 20% nationwide. Additionally, women of color hold less than 6% of the degrees issued in engineering, computer science, and physical science.

To tackle these challenges, Full STEAM Forward was launched with the goal of nurturing a passion for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) and encouraging students to pursue careers in these fields. By targeting 3rd graders, the program aims to capture their interest at an early age, before girls often lose interest in quantitative fields. Initially operating under the name ProCure Hope, Full STEAM Forward has now become an independent organization.

ProCure Hope had a significant impact during the COVID-19 pandemic by providing essential personal protective equipment (PPE) to front-line workers and marginalized communities. With PPE now readily available in the US, Full STEAM Forward has shifted its focus to addressing the critical need for access to education.
