## Description

Fülop is an Italian cultural association focused on preventing healthcare-associated infections, combating antibiotic resistance, and improving transparency around healthcare data and compensation for medical malpractice. Its mission is to make existing official information easier to understand and accessible to citizens and public institutions. The association gathers documents through access-to-records requests to public health authorities and hospitals, and shares findings on insurance claims and compensation across regions.

Fülop also uses education and public engagement to promote infection prevention. As It Was is a theatre production about the final hours of Ignác Fülöp Semmelweis, presented in universities, hospitals, and theatres as a tool for scientific outreach. Batterix is a school-focused game that teaches young people appropriate prevention practices in and beyond hospital settings. Alongside these projects, the association publishes research, news, and educational resources about healthcare-associated infections, and invites institutions, healthcare providers, and media organisations to collaborate. It makes its collected data, documentation, and scientific contacts available for enquiries and joint initiatives.
