## Description

Functional Friends is an Ohio-based therapy clinic and nonprofit foundation serving children and young adults with special needs. Based in Dayton, its therapy services support clients ages 0–21 through individualized pediatric care designed to build independence, emotional regulation, and practical skills for everyday life. The team takes a personalized, relationship-driven approach, working to help clients and their families grow in confidence and connection.

Through Functional Friends Foundation, the organization also offers social groups and special events that encourage interaction, friendship, and a sense of community. Its therapist-led programs provide meaningful social experiences for participants while helping families connect with others who share similar experiences. The foundation aims to make inclusive groups and programs accessible to the community, with some offerings provided free of charge through donations and community support.

By bringing therapy and community-based activities together, Functional Friends creates opportunities for children and young adults to practice real-world skills and develop meaningful relationships. Families can explore social programs, seek private therapy, or support the foundation’s work through donations.
